"Art is freedom. Being able to bend things most see as a straight line." -overlyxclusive
I packed my art supplies and headed to New Smyrna, Florida. A 3 week stay in a condo on the beach, focusing on creating new work for the upcoming busy season, 3 solo shows and a group show! March and April are my madness months!
Priming has begun. Working on small soon to be paintings. Some to be matted and sold in the shops, others to be enlarged and recreated onto paper or canvas and a selection of mini's to be framed. The fun part is experimenting with color, shape and mediums.
Inspired by the Florida colors. Cheery, fresh, bright colors to liven a home. Acrylic paints, gel medium and graphite were my better options. I experimented with the oil pastels but it just wasn't my day. That one went into the trash.
I went back to my geometric patterns and printing methods using wax paper.
Tonight I'll cut, crop and enlarge to find the composition for tomorrow's larger scaled work.
While I'm out of town, you can still reach me via email firstname.lastname@example.org or visit any of the galleries that carry my work and products. Cyndi and Sarah at C2C Gallery in Grand Haven has access to my studio for more work.
Stop back. I'll be posting some videos!
