Plant Seeds of Love

A slippery walk in Michigan's winter wonderland turned out to be magical. I set out with my camera in hand to shoot subject matter that I thought I'd for sure NEVER paint because I despise the cold winter months. Who would want a painting to remind them of winter? Not me! LOL I suprised myself and found so many beautiful plants. Some bare trees with red berries, milk weed, and a bees nest. The colors popped from the white snow and grey sky!

The roads were icy underneath the fresh snow but made it back with no accidents and missed the older gentleman that slipped around the bend with his SUV. He rolled his window down, chuckled and said it was the most excitement he had in a long time. It was good amusement for the day!

Here are a couple of photos I took for inspiration.

I've created some new pieces with oils, cold wax, collage and graphite on paper. Small mini paintings to large paintings on full sheets of paper, 22.5"x30.

New coasters, prints, bags and more will be coming soon from this new series!
